Principle and Application of Cyanide Analyzer
Cyanide has a formidable toxicity, most inorganic cyanide is highly toxic, very few cyanides can poison and kill living things in a short time, and cyanide can cause acute poisoning to fish and people, crop reduction.
Principle: Under Neutral Condition, cyanides in water react with chloramine T to form cyanogen chloride, then react with isonicotinic acid to form pentenedialdehyde, and finally react with chromogenic agent to form violet-blue complex. The absorbance of the complex is proportional to the cyanide content in the water sample. The cyanide content in the water sample is calculated by measuring the absorbance of the complex.
